OUR EAST-HAM (LONDON) PROJECT

Our Black Dog Theatre Creation has now teamed up with the Applecart Arts and East-Ham Library to offer a new project in East-Ham (Newham), London and we couldn't be anymore excited. Our group is open to adults suffering from poor confidence, self-esteem or isolation. We are now also welcoming family, friends or anyone who cares and supports those affected to join us to. We are a very friendly, supportive group who simply use performance skills to have fun and build our confidence.

Puppetry workshop with

Luke Garner-Greene

During our first project we were really lucky to work with local artist Luke Garner-Greene. Luke is a recent graduate from Mountview. He shared his experiences of working with the War Horses team to help us to learn more the art of puppetry and manipulating animal puppets to show their movements and characteristics on stage. It helped us to understand the relationship between the puppet and the puppeteer on stage. He also introduced us to wordplay and rhythm using African drum beats before helping us to put together raps and performance poetry to enhance our performances making them more engaging for younger audiences.
